Welcome to the Athens County Bassmasters Web Site.  Our Club is a small group of guys most of whom were former members of a larger Bass club here in Southeastern Ohio. Today there are 20 members.  We have had tournaments when there has been up to 66lbs of bass caught, which one bass was recorded as the 2007 heaviest bass in Ohio Federation. We try to fish the Ohio River 3 times each year and have our local two day classic somewhere new each October. Also each year we have a kid's day which is wonderful event nothing like seeing a five year old with a  bluegill running back to the weigh in with it dangling from his or her pole.
This year we agreed to go south in February to Lake Murray SC  for 4 days of fun, talk about a great time.   Fellowship, fishing and lying are our best traits but the order is somewhat questioned.

FREE KID'S FISHING DERBY at LAKE SNOWDEN

 

Athens County Bassmasters would like to congratulate Justine McCune, Cody Hudnall, Cory Hill, Abby Holley and Derrick Welsh. They were the winners Saturday July 12th at our annual Youth Fishing Derby. Cory Hill was awarded a bicycle for the biggest catch of the event.
